Jointly organised by School of Design of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Design Institute (member of VTC Group) and Hong Kong Design Centre, the DesignEd Asia Conference provides a practical platform to bring international design educators and professionals together to share views, knowledge and experiences. The DesignEd Asia Conference is already in its eighth year in 2012. Every year, it draws hundreds of international design educators, design researchers, trend analysts, practicing designers, design students, and design-related executives. Attendees will meet with and learn from the best in the design education, and build networks with international design professionals.

As Denmark is announced to be this year’s Business of Design Week (BODW) partner country, DesignEd Asia is thrilled to present some of the forefront Danish design educators as keynote speakers, along with others from various fields in the design discipline.

There will be a 2-day programme featuring presentations, panel discussions, workshops and paper presentations to address the following areas:

• From the social sciences into design education
• From the hard sciences into design education
• From the arts and culture into design education
• From business into design education
• From production into design education
